Real Obsessed ♥

Keep it real.  Authentic.  Fresh.  Though it can be alluring to purchase a new SLG every time you’re shopping fast and affordable retail, I recently switched my route to get a bigger bang.  Yes I’m talking luxury handbags.  Ain’t nothing like the real thing.

While I aspire to have the GUCCI Double Buckle or Disco Bag, CHANEL Flap, or anything YVES SAINT LAURENT—they are simply not in the cards for me at the moment.  Check back in a year maybe?  The highest I will go is $100 for full price—which is in fact generous nowadays.

So my tricks of the trade start with sorting by price and saving to my favorites (My Obsessions).  Most often, I place them on a quick hold (My Shopping Bag) just in case—that way no one can snag them while I contemplate.  Because purchasing luxury should be an investment, not an impulse.  And with Affirm, I happily jumped on this one.  Full deep dive.

NANCY GONZALEZ Metallic Crocodile Handle Bag, $495.00 $4,565.00

“Metallic gold crocodile Nancy Gonzalez handle bag with gold-tone hardware, dual rolled top handles, three interior compartments; one with zip closure, tan suede lining, dual pockets at interior wall; one with zip closure and magnetic closure at top”

Excellent—No visible signs of wear condition.

“Nancy Gonzalez designs are modern but inspired by classical elements. Featuring exotic skins, along with rare and unique materials, in bold colors, the extraordinary handbags in this collection are handcrafted in Colombia by local artisans”- Neiman Marcus

My advice to take is to browse New Arrivals: Editors’ Picks and to not filter by designer.  That’s how I found NANCY GONZALEZ, not RODRIGUEZ.  Being so tunnel visioned about other designers, her talent flew under my radar.  But since this discovery, I am dangerously obsessed.  Trusted editors will be helpful in your search as they know what is in and what is the best of the best per designer (all designers) and category.

So what’s Affirm?  It’s exactly how it sounds.  It’s a friendly lease, (like a bank).  You pay X amount every month to pay off the handbag, belt, fur coat, watch, or pair of shoes you cannot pass on.  Do be sure to choose the right plan for you because the interest percentage varies.  You can set up for automatic deductions right away to avoid simply missing your bill date.  Case in point, totally worth it.
