You’re not the only one. Maybe you’re an athlete and on week two of preseason. Or you’re well into your 20’s, soaking up each Summer Friday to the last drop. Perhaps you’re a freelancer taking each day as its own, treating yourself to a beer or frozé here and there. Whoever you are or may be, you’re noticing a change in the air. A change in TV scheduling. A shortage of Summer and Sale apparel, strappy sandals, and fringed accessories. And then the leaves start changing ’cause it’s last call.
Last call to prance around in your smocked, cropped, eyelet Broderie tops and denim cutoffs. Last call to throw on and go destination anywhere in open-back bodysuits. Last sightings for fruit net bags as the days fly by.

Fall’s in the air which means Fashion Week in New York. Where fashion covers every page, feed, and corner. It’s the most inspiring time of the year for magazine issues, models, and designers world-wide (especially if you’re the chosen ones). Spots and furs are out of hiding. Heritage patterns are resurfacing. If you’re a fan of Spice, it’s taking over in not only your latte. And sadly for the trend obsessed, it’s also time for you to resell, donate or store your Instagram-able bags for the new styles. It’s time to embrace boxier structures and top handles. Fashionistas everywhere are dying to show off their oxblood polished fingers adorned with stacked rings and gems. Or the polar opposite of a tasteful nude. The big and bad oversized “I know it’s in here somewhere” bags are back. Which is in actuality a roomy ‘incognito’ home for your change of shoes. Your better pair. And come nighttime, you opt for a drawstring silky or beaded pouch, holding it ever so gently. It’s the go-ahead nod to invest and/or break out your Gucci, LV, Fendi, Prada, Dior logos and monograms for all to see.
