Swear I said I was going to take a breather from shopping because I find myself out of hangers way too often but let’s be realistic, summer is here and should be stress free; sweat free or close to. It should be chock-full of go-to coordinated sets, breezy denim basics, elasticized waist dresses, and knit nothings. Sandals should bump your tired boots to storage unless they’re white or reserved for rainy days. Chances are, you don’t have this setup either. Without further ado, I checked into Zara online to build a shopping bag from scratch. Here’s what’s
sitting in my cart on the way to my doorstep right now.
Like the name, this earthy green knit will go with literally every shade of denim, chambray, or linen—skinny, straight, wide legged. It’s a light knit, and you can play with the buttons. Style with a: nude, black, or metallic bodysuit/cami and leave unbuttoned completely to wear as a vest. Or wear as pictured and add the coordinating RUSTIC PALAZZO PANTS for an instant outfit as well. Who doesn’t love options. Also these are perfect for weekend getaways. Ultra beachy, boardwalk vibes worldwide.
Hard to see the product photo photo but while we’re on the subject of bodysuits, this ribbed white knit with a V-neckline is exactly what you need. Try not to wear it everyday, I dare you. Bodysuits are way more flattering than camis because of that anti layering line at the waist. Wear with white linen pants to white out in the Hamptons—with high waisted Mom shorts around town—or with a ribbed knit skirt on the bottom for sticky city days.
Let’s talk denim—
Already have in mind what heels I’m going to wear with these. Last thing I want to do after applying lotion is to try squeezing into skinny jeans pinned to the edge of my bed. I would much rather like to slip into a looser fit, in a light hue and feel comfy casual. You can keep it light by styling with white and other neutrals or add a pop of color knitted tank for a cool yet wow look.
Let’s dress it up—
The midi in a silk fabric and jeweled tone is the epitome of relaxed luxe. Look how the emerald shines in a fluid like silhouette. Judging by the pictures, it is a shorter hemmed length than other midis out there which is great news for petite girls. If you’re not sure about your size, don’t hesitate to use the size chart under composition and care details. Style-wise, I would recommend keeping the bottom as the focus of your outfit. Opt for a crisp cropped white tee and wear with chunky sneakers for a little opposite effect.
A silk midi deserves to be handled with care. Yes, I’m recommending carrying your mini bag by the handle/s. You help to nix the possibility of a crossbody chain snagging your fabric by doing so. It serves as a pop of color or a camouflage to complement similar greens. The price is so good and the design also gives off a vintage-y vibe.
Last but not least, shoes. Had to put myself on the wish list for these and I definitely get why. The invisible like vinyl strap makes it a neutral yet statement shoe. With a 6 cm heel, it falls a little shorter than the other heeled sandals available. The slingback adds to it’s functionality and wearability factors. And it’s a shoe Carrie Bradshaw would have had in her closet already.
These separates should feed my hunger for the next week or so or whenever the delivery date.
